Story

Greetings!

My name is Matt Nixon from Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, I'm currently working as an operational firefighter in Shepton Mallet. I would like to ask for a few minutes of your time as I am trying to raise money for The Firefighters Charity and to raise sponsorship for the 3 peaks challenge that I will be apart of later this year.

Myself along with a crew from Shepton Mallet Fire station are volunteering our time in local and regional fundraising events and have signed up to undertake the 3 peaks challenge in June 2017, the event will see us climb the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours (including driving time) We are planning in the hope and support that we can raise thousands of pounds to help our colleagues that make a significant contribution to the communities they serve.

We have local firefighters that have experienced the support given by the Firefighters Charity in rehabilitation in both North & South of the UK. This work can only continue with kind donations and endless voluntary work that is also supported by our friends, and family and very kind donations like yours.

The Firefighters charity costs over £9million every year to keep the charity running, and we are completely reliant upon donations and fundraising, so I'm asking for your support to help keep this incredible life changing charity going.

If you could find the kindness and love to help this charity then please donate, any amount will be much appreciated! Thankyou for taking the time to read this page.

kind regards!

Matt Nixon, Shepton Mallet fire station and the Firefighters charity.
