The RBL are the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the British Armed Forces and their dependents.

Story

The charity sector has lost £10Bn in the past year, with many thousands of events being cancelled.  Ours got postponed.  The Royal British Legion supports families of those who have given service to our country, a lifeline for some and built around the act of remembering those who gave their lives for us.  Many serving and ex-serving military folk are volunteering right now to get you your jabs to free up our lives once again.

I have been road-cycling for just a few years and join sportive events for charity. 2019’s challenge was the Ride London (100 miles) for a local Medical charity. This ride to Paris (300 miles) will be an even greater challenge – but not nearly as hard as the personal battles that ex-services folk face – your sponsorship will help support families across the UK.

My father was very keen to complete this, as he has raised thousands for other charities in the past, not least war-wounded soldiers. He died training for this event in June 2020, thinking of others and believing in me.  I will cross the line in Paris 2021 for your kind donations, and, with your permission, in his memory.  I've kept his page here too:
