This year will be the 12th anniversary of my dad's passing. I believe it's now my time to honour such a wonderful man who I lost at the age of 12 through a sudden heart attack. It has always been on my bucket list to run a marathon, let alone running two within two weeks! The British Heart Foundation do fantastic work, much needed research and I want to support their work in memory of my dad. With the funding for valuable future research I would like to hope that no more young children like myself will suffer the devastating sudden loss of a loved one.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives.
