On 12th October 2025 I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for a vital cause.

In January 2025 my mother, Jacqueline, was diagnosed with cancer. The disease was found both in her stomach and in her liver and it was working very aggressively. Treatment was needed as a matter of urgency and fortunately the team at The Royal Marsden were able to get started in the middle of February. As I write this at the beginning of August, Mum has completed 13 rounds of Chemotherapy, and will continue with the treatment for the foreseeable future. This was never going to be a quick fix but thanks to the expertise of the professors, doctors and nurses at TRM, Mum received exactly the treatment she needed and is able to go about her normal day to day life in between her treatment days.

I am running to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity so that they can continue with the amazing work that they do, day in day out, fighting this awful disease. Thanks to The Royal Marsden, Mum is able to say that she is Living with cancer, not dying with it.
