We love our children. But if there is one thing that they
seem to love more than us, it’s Acorn Playgroup and Pre-School (yes, we are a little offended!)

Each evening, they totter back home, regaling us with stories of Japanese-style dance-wake-ups, sparkly homemade playdough, crafts & singing. How, exactly, are we meant to match that at home?

Jokes aside, Acorn and its team of superstars has provided
our little ones with a safe, exciting and fun home-from-home during the madness of 2021 and we want to help them make it even better for 2022.

As a charity, Acorn is heavily reliant on fundraising to keep going and as a result of the pandemic, all of their big fundraising events
have had to go on hold for the last couple of years.

So, this January a team of grateful (and foolish!) Acorn
parents, both old and new, will be working together to raise money for this fantastic local nursery. As a team, we will ‘virtually’ make our way from the Christmas markets of Germany, though the ski resorts of Austria and into Italy. We will pound the pavements down Italy’s thigh (Milan to Bologna and then Florence) and towards Rome (it’s knee) before finally dashing our way along the Amalfi Coast’s iconic clifftops to its Calabrian tippy toes. If we have miles to spare, we may even pop across to Sicily – Well, it is the closest most of us will get to a holiday this year!!

Don’t be fooled into thinking this is an easy task. We are a
motley crew, made up of reluctant runners, occasional cyclists, horse riders, walkers and even a heavily pregnant mum that will be waddling her way there for this great cause (her words!)
