Story
I ran 26.2 brutal miles on Saturday 29th October 2022 to raise awareness of The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
It is a leading movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.
People run those long brutal races for many reasons and a number are fighting their own personal battles. Running is a good time for contemplation, self reflection and generally a time to just be, there was lots of opportunity for that on Saturday.
CALMs goal is a life less miserable for everyone who is suffering. CALM'S SOLUTION A free helpline 0800 585858 and webchat (5pm-12am daily) for anyone who needs to talk about life's problems. The service is confidential, anonymous and staffed by trained professionals.
