Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My Mum unfortunately passed away following a cardiac arrest at home. The Ambulance crew fought hard to save her life and they also looked after my dad to ensure that he could get to the hospital safely. My dad was also recently taken ill and needed an ambulance. Both of my parents had huge respect for the work that our Ambulance crews do and they were grateful for their rapid and outstanding support in their time of need.

Amongst many other things the NWAS charity provide training for volunteer Community First Responders (CFRs) as well as building awareness of life-saving skills and placing defibrillators in our communities, things that could help to save the lives of our loved ones when every single second counts.

They provide basic awareness training about public access defibrillators in every community where they have installed one as well as first aid and life-saving training in schools and communities.

A community AED (defibrillator) costs £1200 and we would like to contribute towards funding one for a local community where it could save countless lives. All donations no matter how small are gratefully accepted.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
