The Island is a local children's charity which provides mentoring services for York children and young people struggling with their mental, emotional and social wellbeing. In the 10 years that the charity has been active, they have supported over 2500 children and have helped many of them go onto leading more happier and productive lives. In recent years, there has been a huge increase in children needing to access our services due to mental ill-health and witnessing violence within their homes.
