Story
This will be my third year doing this and trying to raise some money for something. I know it's not a marathon but it is for me. Those of you that know me know I hate exercise, especially running but it's good for the old mental health. So this year I will be running for CALM because when we have those black dog days it's good to think that there's somewhere we can go and chat if we don't think there's anyone else around and I'm sure we all agree that we can all have those days.
So if you've got a spare £1 or even £5, I would be grateful.
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Their goal is a life less miserable for you, your friends, your family and for all men. CALM provides a free and anonymous helpline 0800 58 58 58 and webchat (5pm-12am daily) staffed by trained professionals as well as bereavement support and a website www.theCALMzone.net with inspiring content by men for men. It also campaigns to tackle stereotypes of masculinity, suicide and male mental health. Help them save lives.
