Story

Mark Steward, synonymous with Max Associates, the company started 21 years ago.  (Have his other 3 children ever got over the fact the company is named after his first born son?)

For the last 21 years he has been quarrelling with leisure operators, lawyers, architects, and more worryingly with most of our clients! But all the while wanting to get the best leisure centres for the best price! It is unlikely that he hasn’t been involved in some way with your leisure centre, wherever it is across the country.

Mark has grown the company over the last 21 years to create an amazing team, it has a tremendous reputation, it is a great place to work.

Mark is super fit, a mad keen golfer, hugely competitive and the best person we know to negotiate the best hotel upgrade!

In March 2020, Mark was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (MND).

Life’s not fair, we all know that.  MND is an uncommon condition that affects the brain and nerves, it causes weakness that gets worse over time and currently there is no cure.

We can’t solve this one…. But what we can do is show support to Mark and his wife, Bridget, and kids, Jess, Max, Scarlett and James.

So.. Kirsty, Claire, Mike, Dave and Lisa, from Max Associates’ and our friends at Leisure-net Solutions, with support from Kirsty’s husband Lee, are taking on a challenge to raise money for MNDA.

We are walking 53 km (in one day!) around the Cotswold Way on Saturday 25th June.

The charity focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, so in the future other families will not have to go through the challenges Mark, Bridget and the kids
are facing.

Please support us, to support them.

Thank you.
