Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

In November, myself and close friends Ted and Charlie Pullin are taking on the 4/4/48 challenge. This entails running four miles, every four hours, for 48 hours. We are doing this to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK.

Muscular dystrophy is a disease that causes the muscles to waste away, leading to disability and, in severe cases, death. MD is a genetic condition which runs in my family, so I have seen first-hand the damage it causes to physical health. MD UK are currently struggling for funds due to Covid-19, so we want to raise money for them at this time to help sufferers live the best lives they can.

We will attempt the challenge between the 6th-8th November. The disease has such horrible consequences for physical wellbeing, we wanted to put our bodies through this gruelling physical test to offer support and solidarity to all sufferers.

In doing this, we aim to raise £10,000 for MD UK.

Thank you. #TeamOrange
