I'm Maxine and I work as a one-to-one Outreach worker with Headway Devon.

In April 2011, I'm taking part in a sponsored challenge to raise money for local people with brain injuries.

I will spend eight days trekking Peru, which will include a gruelling climb to 4,600m above sea level!

All of the money that I raise will be used to provide support to people with brain injuries, their families and carers. Acquired brain injuries, from head injuries, strokes, tumours and other causes can happen to anyone at anytime and has far-reaching consequences to people's lives. Headway Devon works to improve life after brain injury by providing specialist services including community outreach, providing support to people in their own homes and their own communities.
