WaterAid is an international non-profit with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, a reliable supply of clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity.

Story

My name is Maxwell, and I am 6 years old. Just before Christmas, I noticed an advert on television for WaterAid. It looked like everybody in the advert did not have fresh water. They were all drinking dirty water, and it said up to 4000 kids die each day because of this. That made me feel really sad.

Basically it is our choice to help raise money, that is what I want to do, and anybody can join me.

I go to school and we have toilets for all the kids. I want to try and raise £1050 so that a school in Bangladesh can have a sanitation block for 250 children.

I know that is a lot of money, even if I don’t raise that hopefully I can still raise enough for a hand-dug well, or 7 taps for a hospital .

On the 30th March I am going to do a sponsored walk around Dean Castle Country Park‘s 3 trails. This is a total of 6.3km

You can sponsor me in person or on my JustGiving page. Anything you can spare will help me hopefully raise enough money to fund a sanitation block in a school in Bangladesh. I think it is only fair that if I have a toilet at my school so should other kids.

Please follow my story and share.
