Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page, raising money for one of two medical charities which helped maintain the quality of life for my father, David Pitcher, during his 18 month battle against Myelodysplastic Syndrome progressing to Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. He was expertly treated by Haematology Consultants and nursing staff on Byrd Ward at Northwick Park Hospital - their Leukaemia Research Trust Fund facilitates both academic study and research into the disease but also helps provide facilities and much-needed support for patients and their families for whom they care. I will be forever grateful to them for the inextinguishable humour and compassion shown by all who were touched by Dad during his terminal illness.
