Highland Hospice provides specialist care and support to terminally ill patients and their families in the Highlands. We have an In Patient Unit in Inverness, provide day care across the region and offer bereavement counselling for relatives. We aim to provide dignity when time matters most.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In memory of my Grandad who died on 31st of March I am walking 100 miles from my house in Dunkeld to my Granny's house in Auldearn, Nairnshire. I am being supported on my walk by my Stepdad, Pete. We hope to complete the walk over the course of  five days.

I am one of ten grandchildren and we were all very close to him and loved him very much. I want to raise some money so that families like ours can be comforted that their loved ones are taken care of while they are ill.

I have chosen to raise money for Highland Hospice because they were very kind and caring towards my Grandad last year when he stayed with them for a while. Although Grandad was at home (thanks to the local district nurses and Marie Curie nurses) when he died and our family were able to be with him, we won't forget the kindness of the people at Highland Hospice who helped him during his illness.
