Our team has chosen to fundraise for this event to support Jax Hope Inc's mission of providing a better quality of life for people with Parkinson's and their care partners. Resources for Parkinson’s patients and their families have often lacked in comparison to other more well known diseases or may not be provided as necessary by insurance, corporate budgets, and individuals. The First Coast Parkinson’s Run was founded to change this for the local area of the First Coast of Florida. Awareness of the disease and collaborating with organizations across the country has been key to getting educational, financial, and community resources to the local community. All proceeds and donations go directly to Jax Hope Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization established to provide resources to patients, care partners, and support groups to ensure a better quality of life for those diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Your support impacts thousands of patients and care partners through the following programs: (1) Let’s Get Physical (Physical and Mental Fitness), (2) The Bill Wilson’s Parkinson’s Resource Service/Center, and (3) Support Group Assistance.
