One throwaway comment on a whatsapp group - "reckon we could do an ultramarathon?" - has spiralled wildly out of control.

On December 5th Henry Payne, and I will be running an ultramarathon (100k, so 2.5 Marathons) through the wet, windy, muddy, and hilly terrain of the North Downs way. 

Starting at Farnham in Surrey, and ending in Ashford Kent, this pair of non-runners with 0 marathon experience will fight tooth and nail to get through 100 kilometres - with plenty of live video for your viewing entertainment.  

Our chosen charity, the social mobility foundation, helps to encourage smart students from disadvantaged backgrounds get into the universities, and professions that so often they aren't encouraged to look at.
