Story
The McClarrons Team usually take part in a number of charity fundraising activities across the year. However, due to Covid-19 we have been unable to participate in our usual way.
Therefore, we collectively thought that we should do something different. As McClarrons have been in business for 32 years this year, we thought we could set ourselves challenges related to the number 32/3.2. #LifeAtMcClarrons #3.2Challenge
What challenges will we be tackling?
- Our Commercial Manager, Liz, will be walking 32 miles in 3.2 days.
- Janella will be walking 3.2 miles during her free time (that's 10,000 steps)!
- Our newbie, Fabia & Hannah will be running/walking 32 miles in a week!
- Our star baker, Sophie S will be walking the Wolds Way in a day, that's a total of 84 miles!
- Nick would normally travel 16 miles to get to the office in Malton from his home. Nick has challenged himself to walk/run to the office and back in a day, totalling to 32 miles! WOW!
- Brand Ambassador & Finance Assistant, Alice H, will be rowing for a solid 32 minutes on her rowing machine each day!
- Stacy will be baking 32 Macarons in the McClarrons colours!
- Sophie G will be baking 32 goodies and going on a 3.2 mile walk each day with her dog.
- Our Farm Sales Manager, Darren, will be going on a 3.2 mile bike ride to Oliver's Mount.
- Jane B, from our Whitby office, will be going on a 3.2 mile walk, combined with a litter pick.
- Tina, from our Richmond office, will be skipping and passing the ball 32 times with her 8 year old Granddaughter, who is really excited about taking part!
- Head of Marketing, Emily, will be running 3.2km for 32 days (that's 63 miles)!
- Beth will be making 32 buns. YUM! 🤩
- Holly will be baking 32 cakes each week and selling them to her friends and family, as well as doing a Horse Cross Country Course on FOOT! Jumping, climbing, galloping (and possibly neighing) her way through 32 obstacles for 3.2 miles!
The team would really appreciate your support so if you do see them running or walking around your local area, or even notice a cake sale, please do support them as much as you can.
All money raised will go to the Encephalitis Society, which is a local charity based in Malton. The charity provides support and information for those affected with Encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain. The charity was collectively voted for by the McClarrons Team.
