Story
In August this year, the Freeth boys will be attempting another of Africa's greatest challenges. They will be trading the sun-scorched Makgadikgadi Pans of Botswana for the perilous peak of Tanzania's Kilimanjaro. Keep up to date on the adventure through the blog - https://mcfkilimanjaro.wordpress.com/.
Joshua and Stephen, aged 14 and 12 respectively, and accompanied by their father Ben, aim to traverse the highest peak Africa has to offer in order to raise funds for the Foundation set up in their grandfather's name - The Mike Campbell Foundation (www.mikecampbellfoundation.com).
The Foundation continues to contend for the principles that Mike lived and died for:
To promote and protect the rule of law and to uphold basic human rights that should be fundamental to society
Whilst tackling these issues through international courts, the Foundation provides support to former farmer workers who have been left destitute by the actions of the Zimbabwean government. This is primarily achieved by teaching families who live well below the poverty line, simple farming methods in order to feed themselves and create a profit for their work.
The expedition aims to raise over £10,000 for the crucial work of the Foundation. If you would like to join in this vision please give through this page and follow the blog for updates on how the boys are preparing for the trek and ways in which you can support the Foundation.
Thank you!
