Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Medcare is a UK based chairty working in rural Uganda. The charity supports Wellspring children's medical centre which covers a 10 mile radius. within this radius 400,000 children live. Every year around 28,000 children come to the medical centre for treatment or imediate referal. Without this medical centre these Children may not receive the medical care they need sometimes with drastic consequences. With your donations you will help to keep this medical centre providing the best care for these children.

In addition to Wellspring, there are several projects that support children in need of constant care. COIN (children with ongiong illnesses in need) was set up for children who are born with Chronic life threatening Illnesses such as HIV/Aids and Sickle cell disease. Through this scheme the children are sponsored for their medical needs their specifically approved diets and social needs.

As a consequence, a secondary sponsorship scheme (named medcare disability initiative) has been created to provide for urgent medical and/or surgical care and social needs of handicapped children who are often marginalized and abused.
