Story

I am passionate about rugby and filled a gap in the front row for 36 years!  I retired from my sport in 2008 due to injury.  I can only imagine what it must be like to survive the injuries sustained by our troops and have to totally rebuild a life.

I am a surgeon in the Royal Navy and when I deploy, I see first hand the consequences of war.  I treat our casualties and when I see them back in the UK I am amazed how resilient they all are.  Their drive and motivation is astounding.

I have arranged a charity rugby event, with the proceeds going to Help for Heroes, between the Peninsula Medical School and the Royal Marines.

Plymouth Albion RFC has allowed me to use their ground.  Scott Quinnell (ex-Llanelli Scarlets, and The Lions) and Will Greenwood (ex-Harlequins,and The Lions) have agreed to support the two teams.  Wayne Barnes (International Referee) will officiate.

Please support their 'return to normality'.  Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure and Help for Heroes gets your money faster.  If you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you!
