Medway Velo & Friends Go Virtual Everesting!

Fundraising for Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex
£1,270
raised of £2,000 target
We fight every day to save lives across Kent, Surrey & Sussex

Story

On Sunday 3rd May; riders, fellow riders and friends of Medway Velo will undertake the Virtual Everesting attempts of climbing 8,848 metres in one individual session or as a relay.

As we'll be unable to hold a Sportive this year to raise funds for Kent Air Ambulance, please give generously to support the service we all need but hope to never use.

Rules for Virtual Everesting:
https://everesting.cc/virtual-everesting-rules/

Zwift is a recognised platform to carry out the virtual everesting, whereby a rider will honestly enter their weight and height into the software and use a calibrated power meter/smart trainer to ride up a hill/mountain of their choosing.

  • Steven Melia-Chamberlain - Base Camp 4424m
  • Rob Kennison - Individual 10k
  • Steve Smith  - Individual 8848m
  • Tom Knight - Individual 8848m
