Meg's big hair donation

Hi everyone, my name is Meg and I am going to be cutting off at least 41cm (16 inches) of my hair. I am fundraising for Macmillan and donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust.
The reason I am doing this is because cancer hits close to home for me and my family. My beautiful mom Wendy, was diagnosed firstly with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, which then turned into Mantle Cell Lymphoma and then towards the end stage while in remission, a final blow was given and she was diagnosed with Leukaemia. She fought until the very end and always told us that she was going to 'kick cancers bum'. I was always so proud of how she took it in her stride and now it is my turn to do her proud and raise as much money as possible for a charity that was there for her in her time of need. Although, she will probably have a few choice words about me cutting my hair off, she loved my long hair and would never let me cut it. I know she will be proud of me doing this for such a great cause.
My hair currently measures roughly 107cm and I am going to cut off at least 41cm, if not more. I hope to raise at least £2000 by cutting my hair, but I am also planning on holding a gathering In September (date TBC) for close family and friends. This is the date I will physically chop my hair and hold further fundraising activities. If you would like further info on this then please contact me
Any donation is greatly appreciated, thank you.
- Meg xx
