Story
- It was my brother who sadly passed away due to mental health in 2017. I like to fundraise in honour of him to help others, as things were hard for Jonathan, things are especially hard for others with mental health problems at this unprecedented time
- Jonathan was amazingly good at anything technical, mechanical and computing- had a hidden talent, and in kindness spent much time thinking how to use his expertise to help others.
- https://www.jonathanobrien.net/ This is a website my family have created in memory of Jonathan, and much of his life story in remembrance can be found here.
Save the UK's Charities
General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.
This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
- I lost my brother Jonathan in November 2017 due to mental health
- I have a friend in which I can only see too real the problems they are going through. Mental illness is very cruel and causes a difficult life and upset for the individual and many people in contact with don’t understand what they’re going through.
