At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

In 2016 I lost my Grandad David to Dementia who suffered from it for 12 years. I have learned of the incredible work done by the Alzheimer's Society in supporting not only those who suffer from it, but also the families of those with it. I have seen from my Grandad what a vicious and unforgiving disease it is.

As I turn 21, I would like to combine my birthday with raising some money for this fantastic charity. However small the amount I will raise will obviously make a positive difference.

Therefore, on Saturday 21st May 2022 my Dad has organised for me to do a parachute jump from 10,000ft. I have never done anything like this before, I am both really excited and terrified at the same time!

I will make sure loads of photos are taken on the day to share this experience and I hope you will make a donation, however small!

All donations from this page will go directly to The Alzheimer's Society.

The Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day a cure is found we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Thank you.

Megan.
