Whether you're a keen runner wanting to increase your distance or a complete beginner looking to get fit, running is a fantastic way to raise funds for those affected by liver disease as well as look after your own health.

Story

I am running Brighton Marathon 2022 for the British Liver Trust because in 2020 I was diagnosed with Congenital Hepatic Fibrosis, a rare and progressive form of liver disease that has affected me significantly. I am going to be placed on the transplant list in the future as my disease progresses. This diagnosis was very unexpected, but I am incredibly lucky the disease was noticed when it was. If it had not been noticed I would not be in as good health as I am now my symptoms are being managed.

British Liver Trust is important to me because further research and support for people affected by liver diseases is vital. I am very grateful my condition has been identified, and I will remain under the care of liver specialists for the rest of my life. I want to raise awareness for liver health by running the marathon and I would greatly appreciate any donations ❤️
