Cutting my hair to donate to the Little Princess Trust · 12 February 2018

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Early last year, I made a decision to grow my hair long enough to donate to the Little Princess Trust.

The Little Princess Trust uses donated hair to make wigs for children who have lost their own hair due to cancer.

This has been a challenge for me to grow my hair as long as I have as I suffer from a condition which means my head is extremely sensitive, it hurts me to even brush my own teeth! Brushing knots out of my hair usually brings me to tears but I have been determined and now my hair is long enough and just about ready to be cut.
