St Andrew's Hospice Bungee Jump · 31 July 2022 ·

We need the brave and the bold to take the plunge for St Andrews Hospice. You will be lifted 160ft above our car park in a specialised crane before taking one giant leap for the Hospice.

Story

Decided to do a bungee jump in memory of Ryan brown who sadly passed away on the 14th of may 2022 at the age of 23.

11 years ago Ryan was diagnosed with   ulcerative colitis.

In March 2022 when Ryan was due to hand in his dissertation for his final year at uni he unfortunately ended up in hospital for just over a week. Ryan got to go home as the doctors had managed to get his colitis under control, so luckily he was able to hand in his dissertation.

Towards the end of April 2022, the week leading up to his very last set of exams he ended up in hospital again. 1 week of being in hospital where him and his family received the news that Ryan had a perforated bowel and needed to get a colostomy, the next day he was sent for a CT scan got the results within 24 hours (May 1st 2022) - everything changed and it was the most heart breaking news- Ryan was told he had stage 4 bowel  cancer.

Ryan was cared for in St Andrews Hospice before his passing.
