This September I have upped my game and I will be trekking and camping among the Canadian Rockies for 5 days and 4 nights. I will be trekking for up to 8 hours in the day and reaching heights of 2,600m, avoiding blisters, bruises and bears!

I will be trekking, climbing scrambling through Canada's famous National Parks; Banff, Kootenay, Jasper and Yoho. Having never camped out in the wild before, this will certainly add to the challenge which lies ahead!

Not only has the challenge go harder, but my sponsorship target has increased too. This year I need your help to hit my £3,500 target!

Isabel Hospice is a special charity and can only continue to provide FREE care with the help from generous donations and gifts from people out in the community. The nurses and clinical team at Isabel are unbelievable. They are compassionate, caring and treat every patient as an individual, going above and beyond to meet their specific needs and wishes. Isabel Hospice wants to reach more people sooner in their diagnosis to provide more support and ensure they can live well through an increasing range of FREE services, classes and therapies provided. Isabel wants to support many more families through difficult and testing times and give more advice and support to those who need it most. 

Therefore we need to raise more money!!

£10 could pay for a days meals for a patient at our IPU

£26 could pay for one hour of specialist nursing care

£50 could fill a car with petrol for Isabel nurses to make visits to patients homes

£145 could pay for a home visit from one of our Hospice at Home community nurses

£500 could support a bereaved family member for a whole year

£650 could pay for 24 hours of specialist nursing care at our in-patient unit

***£3000 can pay for the running costs of Isabel Hospice Clinical Nurse Specialists for a day, so they can visit patients in their home, providing specialist knowledge, comfort and expert advice***
