In its third year running, Cycle 2 Zero is raising crucial funds for life-saving education, services and medical care for mothers living with HIV. This year we are heading to South Africa!

Story

I am a Senior Programme Manager at mothers2mothers (m2m) and am thrilled to be taking part in this year's Cycle2Zeroa four-day cycle trip across the Eastern Cape province of South Africa raising money to support women and families to access life-saving reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH) services in eight countries.

m2m employs, trains, and empowers HIV-positive women as community health workers. These “Mentor Mothers” work in local communities and at understaffed health facilities to ensure that women and their families get the health advice and medication they need, are linked to the right clinical services, and are supported on their treatment journey.

I am committed to raising $6,000 for this effort and from 21-24 October will be riding each day with a team of dedicated fellow cyclists.  Over the next few months I'll be training and raising money and I hope you can support me!  I'll be participating not just because I am an employee of m2m but because I deeply believe in the mission of preventing HIV and fostering healthy families and communities by economically empowering women.

Please consider giving $50 or $100 ... or more.  I am hoping to reach my goal by the middle of September, so I can focus on TRAINING.

Thank you! xxx, Megan
