Story
I'm swimming one mile for Alzheimer's Society in Swim Serpentine, a one-day open water swimming festival staged in the heart of London.
I am doing this in memory of my grandparents - David Eaton and Brenda Spencer - who had both suffered with Alzheimer's before passing away.
At the age of 11 I completed a sponsored swim raising money for the Alzheimer's society in memory of my Nannie (Brenda) which involved me swimming continuously for 5km in my local swimming pool -which is a total of 200 laps.
At 17 I feel that I am ready for my next swim challenge, this time also in memory of my Grandpa (David) who has passed away since my first challenge.
I hope with your kind donations, I will be able to support the Alzheimer's Society in conducting their vital research into finding ways to further develop our understanding of this disease and to support future generations as well as people currently suffering with it.
