Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Anyone who knows me - knows the story of 'Twix Palace'.  A wee house that was left to go to seed.  After having it for...well a few years, it's now time to get on with the task of restoring it to its previous glory.  Not the glory of the 1960's hippie times that the bedroom walls still hang on to, (picture orange, yellow and cream flowers), but something just as bright, but perhaps a little less shocking on the eye.

Where the risk of breaking my neck tripping over boxes has failed...Where the 3 seasons of blackbirds nesting in the attic hasn't moved me...Where the risk of my fiance moving out onto the streets as it looks more homely hasn't deterred me from raising my head above the boxes to the grab the wall paper stripper - let raising money for Child's i lead the way to the start of a spacious home life ...with my fiance under the same roof!

Child's i is a vital life line for abandoned babies in Uganda.  They help provide shelter, care, love and help them transition back to their families or to a new adopted family.

We believe in families, not orphanages. We’re helping Uganda reimagine care so that no child anywhere need ever experience an orphanage again. We help repurpose orphanages into services that people really need, keeping families together, reuniting families or finding new ‘forever families’.
