We're very lucky to have a place in London again as part of Team Mencap.  As Sarah is about to leave Mencap Liverpool & Sefton after 14yrs as CEO, we wanted to have one last go at running the marathon- breaking the 4:30 and raise as much money as we can.

The money we raise on this page will be split 50/50 between Mencap and Mencap Liverpool & Sefton.  They're both brilliant charities who work to ensure that people with learning disabilities can live life to the full.

About Megan

Megan ran her first London Marathon in 2019 , with Sarah as her support runner.  And she hasn't stopped going on about it since!  Megan was born very early and has a learning disability as a result.  She can be very determined and like most people with learning disability, Megan can accomplish pretty much anything with the right attitude and the right support.  This even means getting up at 5.30am on a Sunday to do very long runs in atrocious weather!

About Sarah

This will be Sarah's 10th marathon and her third time running as Megan's support runner in London.  Sarah has been Chief Exec of Mencap Liverpool & Sefton since 2009.  She's passionate about people with a learning disability being valued equally and giving people a platform to show the world what they can do.  Sarah also loves running and is finally leaving Mencap at the end of March to start a new business, coaching ordinary people who want to run their first marathon.
