Story
I'm walking to lots of miles to support a fantastic charity which gets girls back into school in Uganda. 130 million girls are out of school globally - so it's a big old deal. I'd be beaming if you could throw a fiver towards tackling it by supporting WIL Uganda's work.
I'll be walking from the 24th June to the 24th July to clock my miles. Please donate and keep up to date with the comedy of me getting lost in my new hometown, Bristol.
WIL Uganda runs programmes which help to keep mothers and girls in education. This includes free literacy programmes, empowering crafts projects, business skills and free childcare support at the charity's village office so mothers can go to work.
Women's businesses in Africa have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, so now is an amazing time to help. Girls who get an education are less likely to marry young, and more likely to earn higher incomes which can give them more control over their futures and strengthen their countries' economies.
