The arrival of coronavirus is placing continued pressure on our local NHS services in Leeds. Take on our challenge to support our major trauma patients and NHS staff during the challenging times ahead.

Story

Hi all

For the next 7 weeks I will be walking/running the equivalent of a marathon a week - that's 26.2 miles per week. As someone who has never even considered entering a marathon before, this is a big challenge.

I am taking part in this challenge to help raise money for Day One.

The NHS Day One charity supports patients and families
affected by major trauma in partnership with patients, families, trauma
clinicians, NHS Trusts and other organisations.

The Day One support model was established by patients for patients, to address the complex challenges that often arise following a sudden traumatic injury. Day One understands that the right support at the right time can make a real difference.
