Assalaamu Alaykum,

Our brothers and sisters in Yemen are suffering the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, with 80% of people in need of some humanitarian assistance. The ongoing conflict and cholera endemic have left the country crippled and more than half the population in poverty. 

Alhamdulillah I have been given the opportunity to help make a difference and that is what i plan to do inshaAllah! I will be trekking Mount Helvellyn on the 2nd of November as part of Aston Isoc’s annual charity week. This year we are working with Mercy Relief to raise money for water reservoirs and orphan sponsorships in Yemen. 

With your help we can end the suffering in Yemen together.

The messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
