Story
I am a Dentist and over the past decade have seen an increase in the number of cases of possible mouth cancer. This reflects the national picture where there has been an almost 70% increase in the number of individuals diagnosed with this cancer. Despite campaigns to raise awareness mouth cancer is still on the rise. This reaffirms the fact that it's causes and relative ease of early diagnosis need to be more widely talked about.
Could this rise be due to a large portion of the population being simply too apprehensive to to visit the Dentist?
My daughter and I have set ourselves the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of beating mouth cancer and we would be grateful for any donations in support of this climb. All funds raised will go to the Oral Health Foundation to help spread the message further.
