My friends son was diagnosed with high-risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in October 2020 when he was just 5 months old. He endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant before his 1st birthday. Sadly he relapsed less than 2 months after coming home. It was then he was eligible for CAR-T treatment which saved his life.

As a result Lucy has set up the Opie Jones Foundation - Supporting families whose lives have been devastated by childhood cancer. A charity inspired by their little boy Opie who battled Infant Leukaemia aged 5 months. Funding emotional & mental health support for families, raising awareness & advocating for access to kinder, innovative treatments.
