In September I will be cycling from Paris to London, finishing the ride at St Christopher's Hospice, where the staff took such care of my brother, Darren, who sadly died in May 2012, after a long battle against cancer.

It costs over £15 million every year to deliver the services. Only about one third of the income comes from the NHS, more than £10 million must be raised to continue to deliver the patient and family services free of charge.  This balance is mainly raised from grants, legacies, the generous support of the local community, local businesses, trusts and through St. Christoper's shops.
