#UPDATE: WOW how incredible, I've made my initial target!! But keep it coming guys, obviously the more I raise, the better!!

Deutsche Bank over the last 19 years has raised £17.5M for various charities.

In the past 2 years alone, it’s raised £4.3M with 880 charity volunteers spending 14700 hours of their own time to help incredible causes.

• 14,000 people die a year from Blood Cancer
• A person is diagnosed every 14 minutes of Leukemia
• It’s the 3rd biggest cancer
• 38000 are diagnosed each year
• 1 in 25 of us are diagnosed of Leukemia

Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses, to ensure patients are monitored and cared for, clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients, that have exhausted standard treatment options, would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.

So, my target is to reach £1000 in donations – to which DB will match. That’s £2000! To raise this I’m trekking through the Jungle, to the summit of Mount Kinabalu!!!! This trek will be an arduous challenge both mentally and physically – a once in a lifetime chance for me personally, and for such an incredible cause too.
