I have chosen to raise money again for the macular society this year by completing the London Landmarks half marathon. 

Those that know me already kone that i have a rare eye condition called PIC which is within the macular bracket. I recieve eye injections every 12 weeks to stop the bleed from the vessels in my eye which can cause permanent sight loss and im also on immunosuppressant therapy. 

I was diagnosed with PIC in 2020 after my first offical flare.up where the vision in my right eye became distorted and I had a grey smudge in the centre of my vision. I had been on steroids up until 6 months ago. 

Before then olend of 2022 I had a severe change to my sight and ended up with me being diagnosed with CNV which means new blood vessels form and they leak blood which then impacts on the vision. If left it can cause permanent sight loss.
