Story
Until today I have never attempted cold water swimming. It was a positively balmy 16 degrees and I managed about 12 lengths of the small and beautifully formed Woburn Lido. This is all in preparation for my first open water swim in aid of the Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
Few of us are lucky enough to get through life without cancer or another life-limiting illness touching those we love. Raising £57 pounds will provide 2 hours of specialist nursing care in a private home. Please consider donating the cost of your coffee today to help me raise 8 hours worth of care in order that we can support those choosing to live out their final days at home.
Rennie Grove Hospice Care is a registered charity offering services to support local patients diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. By offering a 24-hour responsive hospice at home service in combination with other services such as day hospice and family support, we allow our patients to choose how and where they want to be cared for towards the end of life.
