Event: Brighton Marathon 10K 2019, on 14 April 2019
In the spring of 2019, a team of our amazing fundraisers will be taking on The Brighton Half and Full Marathon to support our work rescuing animals from suffering around the world.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL RESCUE is a small Sussex based charity that rescues animals around the world.  They help oranutans, slow loris, howler monkeys, bears and many other animals.

One of my favourite quotes is  'Saving one animal will not change the world, but surely for that one animal, the world will change forever.'

Recently IAR have worked with the Armenian Government to enable the release of 22 bears, caged in terrible conditions for tourism.  They are now safe and undergoing rehabilitation working towards giving them a free life.  Those that are not viable for release will be homes in sanctuaries, fed, cared for and able to express natural bear behaviour.

I volunteer at their offices and my faith is restored in humanity, seeing the dedication of the team and the support from around the world.  This is my small contribution and I ask if you will be kind enough to help me help them.

Thank you, Mel xxx

About the campaign

About the charity

We not only save animals from suffering, we also rehabilitate and release them back into the wild, whilst working to protect their habitats. We provide a safe haven for animals that can no longer fend for themselves. In all that we do, we work to find solutions that benefit both animals and people.
