Two of my dear friends (pictured above) live on the island of Tortola in the BVI's.  The island and many others were completely devastated by Hurricane Irma leaving many many people without homes, water, electric or communication.  Having been through Hurricane Ivan myself back in 2004 on the Island of Grenada, I understand the help and support that these islands need to get back on track and start rebuilding their lives.  Although I cannot be out there myself to help, I hope that running the Half Marathon goes someway to raising the necessary funds to help all those people.

Many of you will know Biff and Amy who are living on Tortola.  There are no words to describe what wonderful people they are.  They have decided to stay in the BVI's and will be bending over backwards to help and support their community.  I would like to help too, so please dig deep and donate to this very worthy cause.
