Walking 21 km for Down's South London · 21 March 2015
As most of you will know, Zac has Down's Syndrome. This makes it harder for him to learn to do the basic things like walking and talking.
Down's South London (DSL) is a parent-run charity which provides physio, occupational and speech therapy to local children like Zac which would otherwise be unavailable. Without your support they wouldn't be able to continue the service. If you have seen Zac recently, you will know what a difference the therapy has made. He has come on so much since last year: he is now super-fast at commando crawling and can even manage a flight of stairs (albeit with a lot of encouragement), but the biggest difference is that he can now sign a few words which has made him (and us) a whole lot less frustrated with each other.
On the 21st March we are walking 21 km along the Thames as a tongue in cheek reference to chromosome 21, which Zac has three copies of. It is also World Downs Syndrome Awareness Day. If you'd like to join us for the walk, or even fund raise for DSL please let us know.
