The Road to Istanbul... and back! 

Melbourn FC are taking part in a virtual challenge to run and walk the 3,000km from our home pitch, The Moor in Melbourn, to the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul – the venue for this season’s Champions League Final. However, after initially aiming to achieve this target during the month of March, the players, family members and friends of the club have exceeded expectations and have reached Istanbul just two weeks in! The target now is to ‘come back’ and reach 6,000km by the end of March.

We are raising much needed funds for CPSL Mind, the club’s chosen charity for the 20/21 football season.

The virtual route takes us through 9 countries across Europe; including France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany,  Austria, Hungry, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and of course Turkey. We have also “called in” at some famous football stadiums en route (check out our social media for pictures)
