Cathedral Archer Project Sleep Out · 27 March 2020

The Archer Project support homeless & vulnerable people in Sheffield. Not only do we provide daily support such as access to food, showers & clothes, but also longer term help to access services that assist with mental health, housing & finances to support in the journey out of homelessness.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Why Sleep Out?

We are braving the elements to experience what it is like to sleep on the streets for one night, without the creature comforts we take for granted in our own homes.

One past participant stated that “it [the Sleep Out] is the best way to get a glimpse of what it is like to be homeless, cold, and tired, and it really furthers your understanding of the difficulties this creates.”

Why Cathedral Archer Project?

Your generous donations will go towards helping Cathedral Archer Project support homeless adults from sleeping bag through to employment and an enjoyable and fulfilling life.

On average 75 people use their centre five days a week. Over a year this is c.1200 people who access their service. In Sheffield at the start of 2020 there are c.30 individuals who rough sleep every night. By Sleeping Out for one night we hope to help raise awareness and vital funds to support these people and help them off the streets.

I've spent time volunteering in the centre and it's a positive, friendly and caring place to be.
