Melissa’s Snowdon Challenge · 25 July 2021

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Melissa Grace and i was born with a rare Genetic condition called Angelman Syndrome, this affects every aspect of my life. I have many problems to deal with one of which is difficulty with my balance and movement. I have now got leg splints which will help to align my legs and hopefully prevent any joint and knee pain and degeneration.

With the help of the fantastic Steve Prescott Foundation and Conquer Hiking and Trekking I am going to conquer Snowdon on Sunday 25th July to celebrate my 18th Birthday.

Melissa will be in her wheelchair for the majority of the time and will be carried by the 8 man strong Conquer Hiking Trekking SPF Team.

Melissa will also walk as many steps as possible.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands.

All monies raised  will be equally divided between Melissa’s Smile and the Steve Prescott Foundation

Thank you for your support.
