In memory of Lizzy Bremer

Every week in the UK, around two families are told their child has neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. We fund leading research projects to deliver new, effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. With your help we can save more young lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Lizzy was the gorgeous daughter of two of my most cherished friends, Miriam and Alex Bremer.  Beautiful Lizzy had an incredibly rare strain of a very rare and aggressive childhood cancer.  Around 650 cases are documented each year in the U.S. and only 100 in th U.K.  I heard the devastating news of Lizzy's diagnosis of Stage 4 Neuroblastoma at the end of January 2013.  Unbelievably Lizzy was one of only 15 children being treated at this level. Lizzy bravely fought this annihilating disease for 6 months before losing her valiant battle at age 2 years and 2 days.

She will never be forgotten....ever....and for this reason I wanted to remember this beautiful, smiling happy child as well as raise awareness and funds for those going through this same devastating battle.

I plan to run a half marathon on October 5 up the infamous Mount Diablo, CA, which boasts a 3,420 feet elevation gain.  What ever you can give will be appreciated more than you will know... and thank you.
