Hold onto your seats, yes it actually true. Peter and I will be swimming 64 lengths (1 Mile) to raise money for our cherished charity Sutton Mencap. 

It will be taking place in October at Westcroft leisure centre. We will confirm the exact date nearer the time.

Peter has been attending various services at Sutton Mencap for many years. He has experienced both children and adult services. Peter has complimented Sutton Mencap with his warm and friendly personality. Peter has great passion for music, dancing (Elvis...eat your heart out😉), good food, swimming and socialising with his friends, who all adore his love of life, determination and cheeky sense of humour. 

I have been working at Sutton Mencap for over 15 Years. I started as a sessional worker in children services to now coordinating various groups in adult services. I truly love working and get great fulfilment out of sharing new experiences with all people who come to Sutton Mencap. Sutton Mencap has given me many opportunities to grow in confidence, learn new skills and explore new challenges.

Peter and I started swimming towards the end of 2013, and have been dedicated each week gradually increasing our number of lengths. It has been Peter who has encouraged me to 'keep going' and increasing the pace more and more. Although we have a tough challenge to complete 64 lengths.
